What’s Your Pride Story? Book Launch Evening
Tuesday 26th July
Studio 2, Parr Street

Proud of Pride? Our writers certainly are! Come to our launch of this unique book of stories by new LGBT writers about their experiences here in Liverpool. Led by writer and publisher Helen Sandler – The Touch Typist (Diva, 2001) & Big Deal (Sapphire/Virgin, 1999), fifteen people from the LGBT+ community took part in our 12 week writing course sharing their personal narratives about Pride and what it is like to be part of the LGBT+ community in Liverpool.

Writing on the Wall promotes and publishes new writers, using creativity as a tool for self-expression and a vehicle to explore social ideals and relevant, contemporary issues.

This project is a partnership between Liverpool Pride and Writing on the Wall and is funded by Arts Council England. All welcome!

Queertet 2016
Thursday 28 and Friday 29 July
The Lantern Theatre

Linda & Sue by Chris Christou – we are really pleased to welcome back (from our very first Queertet at the Lantern) this charming, funny and romantic story of an autumn/spring relationship between Linda and Sue. Anyone for tennis?

Slaying Hades by Stuart Crowther – evocative, dark and sensual word play set at the Club Gorgon on the River Styx – join the three man chorus for a pounding and pulsing voyage into desire, passion and darkness – from the writer of last years sensational The Fuck.

The Best Man by Will Cooper – funny and uplifting story of two best friends who share a flat but trust love to interfere with everything, oh and that wedding !!! A feel-good play with an ending that will surprise and really delight.
